Nigerians kill those they should defend and defend those they should kill

Nigerians kill those they should defend and defend those they should kill

BY: John Zibiri
Such an up-side-down country
I worked and lived in Abuja for 18 years. I ran my own private company from 2001 until 2014. Two million of the likes of Buhari cannot change Nigeria. Everything is wrong with Nigeria. The Director won't give you contract except you pay up front . The banks won't give you loan except you concede a certain percentage. . The man supervising the contract won't pass the job except you play ball. The clerk won't pass your file for payment except you rob his palm. The accounts department won't raise your payment voucher or cheque unless you see them. I can go on and on. The worst thing is that it has become a norm that nobody sees anything wrong with. If you think otherwise, they begin to think you are sick and not normal. If you try to stand in there way, you put your life at risk. If you get killed there is no justice system in place to seek redress and bring the perpetrators to book. The police is corrupt , the Judiciary is the same. Even the religious circle is not spared. Everything in Nigeria revolves around corruption. Nobody cares about anybody. No law and order. I looked from my left to right, everybody is only desperate about one thing "money".

They will kill anybody and anything that stand between them and money. I am an electrical engineer with MNSE and COREN. The system don't care about my qualifications. Distribution and transmission jobs are given to alhajis, pastors, friends and relatives without any basic skills. I started asking myself, how do I convince my kids that education and hard work is rewarding? When fools, agberos and touts are running the country from the local govt to the Presidency. Is this what my four sons will also go through? In 2014 I decided I have had enough. I decided I was leaving. Ii migrated to Australia with my family. Don't put yourself in harm way for any reason. The problem of Nigeria is in the hands of Nigerians living in Nigeria. Try starting a gate house in your village, everybody wants to profiteer from it.

The bricklayer, the carpenter, the mason and even your brother who claim to be supervising on your behalf. They are corrupt, morally bankrupt and selfish. Everybody there thinks about himself and nobody is thinking about Nigeria . You don't have to be the one to go there to change anything. Let those under the hammer start the revolution. I beg make you hear word. This post is gonna anger a lot of my followers. I'm still gonna post it anyway. Analogy of OPPRESSORS & FOOLISH CITIZENS. (A case study of Nigeria citizens & their elected oppressors). During the Soviet dictatorship of Joseph Stalin. He was a brutal dictator with mind of his own. On one fateful day, Stalin came to Politburo meeting with a live chicken. Standing in front of audience, He started to pluck the feathers of the live chicken off one by one. The chicken trembled in pain, blood tricking out of its pores. It gave our grievous cries, but Stalin being a cruel dictator continued without remorse plucking the feathers out until the chicken was completely naked. After which, he threw the chicken on the ground. The naked chicken was staggering in pain. Stalin goes into his pocket and from his pockets, he took out some chicken food and started to throw it at the poor & hapless creature.

The poor chicken in pain started eating and Stalin started walking towards his seat. As he walked away, he kept dropping some feeds on the floor & the chicken followed him and sat feeding from his feet. Joseph Stalin then turned to members of his political party leadership. He said, "This chicken represents the people". "You must disempower them, brutalise them, beat them up, starve them and then leave them". "If you do this, go into your pocket & give them peanuts when they are in that helpless and desperate situation, they will blindly follow you for the rest of their life, worshiping you". "They will think you are a hero forever. They will forget that, you're responsible for their sorrowful situation in the first place." Breath taking, isn't it ? Now! Take a look at all the people some Nigerians are busy defending on social media. Take a look at those they call their heroes. They are the same people who plunged Nigeria into the situation she is. They are the same people who are responsible for their predicaments. Did you see the numbers of people that throng to Saraki's house during this Christmas period to go collect peanuts? Did you see the crowd that welcomed Ibori? Your guess is as good as mine. And the likes of many others, we all know about. Nigerians kill those they should defend and defend those they should kill!

Police, 2baba reach agreement on protest

Police, 2baba reach agreement on protest

The Lagos state police command has granted 2baba the permission to lead the planned protest scheduled for Monday, February 6.
Fatai Owoseni who is the commissioner of the Lagos state police earlier issued a statement banning any anti-government protest in the state but on Friday, February 3, the state rescinded its threat.
The commissioner explained that the police was concerned about the safety of Lagosians because a pro-government group planned to stage a protest on the same and worried that there might be a clash as hoodlums may hijack the rally.
The Nation reports that Owoseni met with the 2baba camp where it was agreed that instead of a demonstration, the protesters would meet at a point and read out their demands.
He said: “We had a meeting with the protesters and we explained to them why we advised against the protest. A pro-government group wants to protest that same day and we don’t want a situation where there would be friction.
“We also don’t want hooligans to hijack the process and injure the protesters.
“After explaining to them, they said they will go back and discuss with others. They said if they decide to go ahead, they won’t demonstrate but would assemble at a point and read their demands.
“That notwithstanding, we have resolved to provide security for them. It is our responsibility and we won’t shy away from it. We will ensure trouble makers do not hijack the process.”
The federal government had also insisted that it was not against the protest as citizens have a right to association.

Confab has solution to southern Kaduna crisis, says Jonathan as he meets US lawmakers

Confab has solution to southern Kaduna crisis, says Jonathan as he meets US lawmakers

The implementation of the resolutions of the 2014 national conference will prevent ethnic and religious tensions that lead to crises such as the ongoing southern Kaduna killings, former President Goodluck, has said.
According to Ikechukwu Eze, his media aide, the Nigerian leader said this when he addressed the United States congress house sub-committee on Africa.
President Muhammadu Buhari has vowed not to touch the report of the conference, which he described as a misplacement of priority.
Eze said Jonathan also identified impunity as a factor that contributes to the reoccurrence of violence, noting that if those behind previous violence were not prosecuted, then like-minded individuals and groups would be emboldened to repeat the same act.
He also spoke on the crisis in the Niger Delta region, and the challenges facing Christians in Nigeria.
Eze said the meeting was part of efforts of the Goodluck Jonathan Foundation to fulfill its mission to promote peace and prosperity in Nigeria and Africa.
He said the former president, who was invited by the US congress subcommittee, spoke in his capacity as chairman of the Goodluck Jonathan Foundation.
Jonathan also spoke on his efforts to end impunity, specifically citing the case of Kabiru Sokoto, the mastermind of the Christmas Day bombing of Saint Theresa’s Catholic Church in Madalla, Niger state.
Sokoto’s prosecution was the first of its kind in the trial of an attack on a place of worship in Nigeria.
“That promise was fulfilled on the 20th of December 2013 when Kabiru Umar, aka Kabiru Sokoto, was sentenced to life imprisonment after my administration investigated that crime, identified him as the mastermind, arrested him and diligently prosecuted him and some of his associates,” Jonathan reportedly said.
The former president added that his administration’s prosecution of the perpetrators of the deadly bombing of an office of the Independent National Electoral Commission also in Madalla on April 8, 2011 was the first successful prosecution of “terrorists” in Nigeria.
On the Niger Delta, the former president said he fully aligned with the views of the national conference which called for true and fiscal federalism as the way out of agitations in the region and in other parts of Nigeria.
He also said that interventionist agencies like the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) tend not to be effective due to over politicisation.
The former president said the almost overnight development of a state like Akwa Ibom proved that what the region needed was resource control not interventionist agencies.
The meeting was attended by chairman of the US house sub-committee on Africa, global health, global human rights and international organizations.

Truth Revealed!! Biafra Was Never From Igbos, Igbo Started From Edo State, (READ SHOCKING REVELATION)

Truth Revealed!! Biafra Was Never From Igbos, Igbo Started From Edo State, (READ SHOCKING REVELATION)

Igboland started from Edo State, Igbanke (Igbo-Akiri) to be precise, all the way to Opobo Rivers State known as Igwenga, before the destructive and deceptive White British man came with his Bible and machine gun**
The whole of Anioma Delta State are Igbo speaking people. Not only that, they are descendants of the great Chime from Arochukwu hence they are known as Umu-Chime meaning children of Chime till this morning. Ask anybody from Delta State those called Umu-Chime and they will gladly point you to Igbo speaking communities in the same Delta State.

Asaba was originally Ahaba before the same destructive British White Man changed it.
Their cousins are Ahaba Imenyi Abia State till today. In some signs in Asaba you will see that the more sensible ones are changing the name back to Ahaba.
Ibibio which is Akwa Ibom State are so intertwined with Igbo that people have forgotten that the very successful Abiriba community of Abia State are actually people that reverse migrated from Akwa Ibom. Abiriba people are Ibibio by ancestry that is why they remain the only group that is matrilineal whilst the rest of Igbo people are patrilineal. Don't take my word for it, go to the beautiful Abiriba town to find out for yourself.

How about the great Annang people? Think about the revered Òkōnkō fraternity in Igboland, predominantly in Abia State today, where do you think it came from? Òkōnkō is purely an Annang traditional cult which proves that Annang people were not only part and parcel of Biafra from the beginning but also eternally intertwined with Igbo speaking people. Some of the poorly educated politicians from Akwa Ibom and Cross River don't know this because Hausa Fulani oil dependent parasites and their Yoruba lecherous slaves won't allow them to, through Punch, Nation, Vanguard, Tribune newspapers, Channels and AIT television stations.

Now how about Efik or let us call it Cross River State. Those of you from Arochukwu and parts of Bende, where do you think you got your Ekpe fraternity from? Yes, you are right. Ekpe is originally an Efik occult so is Ekpo or masquerade we have today. When you are dancing to the rhythm of your Ekpe cultural dance, be it during new yam festival or Christmas period, spare a thought for the Efik people that gave it to you.

If Igbo, Anioma Delta State, Ibibio/Annang of Akwa Ibom State and Efik are not the same Biafran people, how come they share deep cultural, linguistic and social heritage?
Please tell me what is the meaning of South South again or Niger Delta if I may ask? Too many questions I know but how else can I expose the Hausa Fulani divide and conquer, Yoruba backstabbing nature or the idiocy of those that call themselves Niger Delta and South South but refuse their real identity which is Biafra.
Truth cannot be hidden!

You are political prostitutes, MASSOB slams Kalu, Nnamani and Nwobodo

You are political prostitutes, MASSOB slams Kalu, Nnamani and Nwobodo

Top southeast politicians who defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) have come under fire from the Movement for Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB).
The pro-biafra secessionist group expressed its utmost displeasure at the development in a statement signed by the group’s national director for publicity Samuel Edeson.
MASSOB named former Senate president Ken Nnamani, former governor of Abia state Orji Uzor Kalu and ex-governor of old Anambra Jim Nwobodo in the statement as the centre of its attack.
The statement read: “They (Ndigbo) never benefited anything during his tenure as Senate President. These men are contract seekers that have no Igbo interest in mind.

“Time has come when we will no longer accept these kind of men in Igbo land. We are going to mobilize all the genuine pro-Biafra agitators and Igbo youths against these selfish greedy politicians.
“Who among these men that decamped to APC can beat his chest and boldly say that this is what I did for my people. Nobody will use Igbo land as battle field again like NPN/NPP in 1983.
“The Fulani herdsmen killed our people in Nimbo Uzo-Uwani, killed in Awgu; Umuahia, Delta and other places and they did not see reasons to speak against these killings of innocent people.
“They are political prostitutes. When we said last year that we are going to make this government ungovernable, they thought that we are going to fight them with arms, or going to the streets to protest. No, with our diplomatic moves, we have been able to achieve a lot.”
Former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo had said the Igbos should be given a chance at presidency in 2019 but Okorocha has said that this will only happen in 2023.

South East: We must speak with one voice now –Nnamani

South East: We must speak with one voice now –Nnamani

Former Senate President and All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart, Ken Nnamani has called for unity among South-East leaders and politicians, especially those who belong to his party.
He said the resort to abusive or gutter language by prominent politicians from the zone against one another would hurt the political interest of the zone, stressing that politics could be played without denigrating one another.
Nnamani, who spoke in a telephone chat said he joined APC to further offer service to the country and to help raise the political profile of the South-East. “Some of us did not join the APC  because of hunger, but in the interest of the Igbo. We should play politics of ideas and avoid abusive words.
“Ndigbo  do not have the ingredients for opposition politics. How the Yoruba people voted in 2015 should be an eye-opener. They voted for both sides, but the South-East put all their eggs in one basket,” he said.
Nnamani, who joined APC a fortnight ago, urged Nigerians to continue to support President Muhammadu Buhari’s effort at re-engineering the socio-economic well being of the country.
On the pronouncement by Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, that he is now the leader of APC in the South-East, the former Senate President noted that much as he has no problem with playing the role, he would prefer that who leads the party in the zone should naturally evolve.
Okorocha, at the South-East APC stakeholders meeting held in Owerri, said “there is a vacuum of leadership in the South-East APC.
“With Ken Nnamani, the question of who the leader of the APC is in the zone has been answered. Nnamani is the leader of APC in the South-East.
“Senator Nnamani should, then, work with other leaders like Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, Jim Nwobodo and a host of others to give Ndigbo a political direction. APC is the right party for the Igbo and the only party that can guarantee Igbo presidency in 2023.”
Nnamani stressed he would not shy away from taking up the mantle of leadership of the party in the zone, but said asking him to do such must have the blessing of leaders and members of the party in the South-East.
“I’m in the party to serve. Who leads the party in the zone has to evolve, it has to be agreed upon by leaders of the party in the zone,” he said.
He restated the need for South East leaders to speak with one voice on issues concerning the zone, insisting that engaging in needless diatribe and mudslinging were not what the zone needed at the moment.

Amaechi, Wike fight dirty over seized helicopters

Amaechi, Wike fight dirty over seized helicopters

Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi opened up, yesterday, on intrigues behind the two helicopters seized by the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS).
In a statement from his media’s office, Amaechi explained how his administration was unable to take possession because former President Goodluck Jonathan and Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, frustrated his administration from taking possession of the helicopters.
Amaechi said this was  even after the former president’s adinistration released $15 million counterpart funding to procure the two helicopters valued at $30 million.
The minister, however, admitted that the helicopters were ordered by his administration when he was Rivers governor.
Amaechi, who stated this in a statement yesterday, explained that he ordered for the helicopters to tackle kidnapping and militancy in the state.
The former governor’s response is coming a day after Wike washed his hands off its procurement but also, admitted he made series of requests for their release, after they were abandoned at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, when he assumed office.
The minister’s media office said: “When Amaechi took over as governor, criminals, masquerading as militants, kidnappers and all other criminal elements were on the prowl in the state. With a strong political will to tackle these menaces and make the state a safe place, Amaechi initiated a lot of measures to deal with the menace. Purchasing these helicopters was one of the measures the Amaechi administration took to curb the clandestine and criminal activities in the state. And, the decision to go for these helicopters was based on the advice and recommendation of security experts and specialists that were working closely with our Nigerian security agents to rid the state of these criminals- kidnappers, pipeline vandals and vicious political cultists.
“Sequel to the recommendation of security experts, the Rivers State Government bought the two Bell 412 security surveillance helicopters, in collaboration with the Federal Government, through the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA).
“The federal government, then, was very impressed with Amaechi administration’s security plan to curb criminality in the state and supported the plan all the way. To show their support, the federal government, through the office of the NSA contributed $15 million  about half of the total sum, towards the purchase of the helicopters. Also, Jonathan’s administration granted waivers to Rivers to purchase and import the helicopters. However, trouble started many months later, when the helicopters became ready for state government to take possession. Jonathan’s administration frustrated and rebuffed all attempts by Amaechi and the state government to take possession of the helicopters.
“It was obvious why Jonathan’s administration acted the way it did and Wike, the current governor of Rivers State was an integral part, a major player in the whole conspiracy to block and prevent the state government from taking possession of the helicopters.
“Then, as a minister in Jonathan’s cabinet, Wike inundated the president with lies and fake stories of how Amaechi wanted to use the helicopters for presidential campaigns against Jonathan, how Amaechi will use the helicopters to support President Jonathan’s opponents before and during the presidential elections and all sorts of concocted tales that created a false impression that the Amaechi administration in Rivers State would use the helicopters against and to fight President Jonathan, and not to secure lives and property.
“Wike, then, was already nursing the ambition to run for the office of governor of Rivers State…”
Regardless, Wike, in response to Amaechi’s statement, dismissed his defence as “totally  false, baseless and unfounded  as the documents  regarding  the communication  between the Rivers State Government and the relevant federal agencies on the said helicopters are in the public domain.”
Wike, in a statement from Government House, yesterday night, insisted he had no reason to interfere with the acquisition of the helicopters and so, could not have stopped their release when they landed in Nigeria.
“From the  statement  released  by  the  former Rivers State governor, the Jonathan administration, through the NSA, paid $15 million, which was half of the cost of the two armoured helicopters.
“At no point in the entire transaction did Wike interfere with the process of the acquisition of the helicopters.
“He had no reason  to stop a process for which the then Jonathan administration  committed $15 million as admitted by Mr. Amaechi, a politician  who is notorious  for his obsession for falsehood.
“Despite the former governor’s refusal to formally hand over, Wike  embarked  on  due diligence, discovered the transaction and followed up  in the interest of Rivers State and the security of the people.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the Rivers state government, under the leadership of Wike, took proactive steps to clear the helicopters for security purposes, but, the concerned federal agencies deliberately blocked the state government.
“As a result of the commitment of the governor to the security  of lives and property devoid of partisan politics, he applied to the president, for the two Bell 412  helicopters to be handed over to the Nigerian Air Force for custody and management.
“This patriotic request was approved by the NSA  vide a letter dated November 3, 2016 and signed on behalf of the NSA by Brigadier General A. T. Famadewa.
“Despite the documentary approval by the NSA  for the transfer of the helicopters to the  Air Force, it was shocking  that the NCS  had to stage a  drama that the helicopters were imported  by  unknown persons and that the service had resolved to transfer same to the Nigerian Air Force.”
“Amaechi’s statement filled with bitterness, lies and political blackmail is a proof that he was behind this crime against the people of Rivers State. It is sad that Amaechi  would take his hatred for the people of River  to the level of masterminding  the diversion of the  helicopters…”
paid for with Rivers funds, which he now wants to be used in other states.
That the security  helicopters  were hijacked by the Nigerian Customs Service  at a facility  under the control of the failed former governor shows the level he is ready to go as regards the politicisation  of security with a view to attaining  unpatriotic goals.
Since Mr Amaechi  left office in 2015, he has been sponsoring  crime and criminality  in Rivers State with a view to creating the environment  for the declaration of State of Emergency on Rivers State.  However, he has continued  to  fail because  the  Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike  is always ahead of him through the initiation and sustenance  of a sound security architecture.
Despite the fact that the former governor’s press release  was filled with falsehood, one point has been  established.  The two Bell 412 Helicopters  belong to the Rivers State Government.  The drama  staged by the Nigerian Custom Service and the Nigerian Air Force was therefore unnecessary and unpatriotic .
Don’t give the impression that you are targeting Christians, Suleman tells FG

Don’t give the impression that you are targeting Christians, Suleman tells FG

Johnson Suleman, general overseer of Omega Fire Ministries, has advised the federal government not to give the impression that Christians were being victimised.
In a statement by Phrank Shaibu, his communication adviser, Suleman said those who speak the truth have been vilified.
Recently, the Department of State Services (DSS) made attempt to arrest him.
After failing in the bid, the secret police then invited him to its Abuja headquarters.
Although he has promised to honour the invitation slated for Monday, the fiery cleric wondered why none of those responsible for killings in Kaduna have been arrested.
“There’s no end to the killing of Christians in Kaduna. Those behind the heinous crime are known. Yet no one has been charged for murder,” he said in a statement.
“Instead people like us who speak the truth are being persecuted. The federal government must not give the impression of partiality or suggest that Christians are the target of this administration.
“The governor of Kaduna state confessed that he paid money to some Fulani herdsmen as compensation to stop the killings in southern Kaduna.
“That means he knows those who have committed atrocities against Christians. He must be made to produce them to answer to charges of murder and other crimes.
“The governor’s response to the killings in Southern Kaduna has been  consistent with this mindset. In a recent chat with news men in Kaduna, the governor made different remarks to substantiate his love the herdsmen and their activities.
“First, he said when he became governor, he traced the attackers to Cameroon, Chad, and Niger and sent a message to them that one of their own, a Fulani like them, was now governor. This comment displays a dramatically bigoted mindset.
Suleman called on security agencies not to allow politicians and “ethnic warlords” use them to achieve “parochial objectives”.
He said such developments could lead to grave consequences for the country.
Recently, he told his congregation that he had ordered his security aides to kill herdsmen who come around his church premises.
Suleman said he gave the order after he learnt of a plot to assassinate him.
Fayose cautions DSS over planned detention of Apostle Suleiman, Bishop Oyedepo

Fayose cautions DSS over planned detention of Apostle Suleiman, Bishop Oyedepo

Ekiti state governor Ayodele Fayose has alleged that "there is plan to charge Apostle Suleiman and Bishop Oyedepo for incitement and attempt to cause public and make sure that they are not granted so to get them remanded in Kuje Prison perpetually."

Fayose described the plan as indirect invitation to religious crisis in the country as equally warned the Department of State Services (DSS) over the planned detention and trial of Apostle Johnson Suleiman of The Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide.
He said this plan was to humiliate these men of God as well as silence them and create fear in other people that may want to speak against the heinous crime against humanity being committed daily while perpetrators are being shielded by the federal government.
In a statement issued on Sunday by is special assistant on public communications and new media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose said the DSS should tell Nigerians how many of the Fulani herdsmen that killed thousands of Nigerians across the country have been arrested before going after Nigerians who merely expressed their frustration over the to failure of the federal government to protect them.
The governor said; "Even though the DSS has allowed commonsense to prevail by properly inviting Apostle Suleiman as against the Gestapo manner with which the service attempted to abduct him last week Wednesday, it is still questionable that the DSS is more interested in a man who threatened to defend himself against any attack by Fulani herdsmen rather than those herdsmen that murdered thousands of Nigerians.
The governor said; "it is sad and worrisome that after muzzling opposition politicians, judiciary and the press, the APC led federal government has taking its desperation to suppress dissenting voices in the country to the House of God."
Governor Fayose maintained that; “If the DSS had acted swiftly like it is doing on Apostle Suleiman so-called inciting comments when people were being killed by herdsmen across the country, so many lives would have been saved.”
He advised the government and the DSS not to go ahead with these plans as it will heat up the polity and threaten the peaceful coexistence of Nigerians, calling on well meaning Nigerians to prevail on the federal
government to desist from acts capable of throwing the country into further crisis.
Governor Fayose, who reiterated his call for the release of the head of Nigeria's Islamic Movement (IMN), Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, who has been in detention since late 2015 despite that the court ruled that he should be released, affirmed that "he will continue to stand for Nigeria and its people, not for any religion and it is my position that rights of all Nigerians must be respected and protected.”
The governor urged the APC led federal government to pay attention to the economy it destroyed, with the aim to revamping it and saving Nigerians from the hunger ravaging the land.
"Nigeria is already being ravaged by war of hunger, economic recession, job loss and lack of leadership direction. It will be disastrous for the country to be plunged into religious crisis.
"Apart from during the civil war, Nigerians have not been badly divided as a nation as we are under the President Muhammadu Buhari administration. Killings under this government in 18 months are more than what was witnessed in the last 20 years," the governor said.

Apostle Suleiman talks tough, threatens to move against DSS

Apostle Suleiman talks tough, threatens to move against DSS

The head of the Omega Fire Ministries (OFM), Apostle Johnson Suleiman, has threatened to drag the Department of State Services (DSS) to court for allegedly attempting to arrest him in Ado Ekiti.
The threat by the fiery preacher to sue the DSS follows an alleged failed attempt by the secret police to arrest the pastor on Wednesday, January 25 at a hotel in Ekiti state, The Guardian reports.
But the operatives were stopped from detaining the preacher by Governor Ayodele Fayose who led a rescue mission to the hotel forcing the operatives to flee the scene.
The plan by Suleiman to sue the DSS was disclosed on Thursday, January 26, by the chamber of Olayiwola Afolabi & Co.
The law firm said it had the permission of Suleiman to take legal action against the DSS claiming “exemplary damages for its politically motivated moves against our client.”
The lead counsel of the company, Olayiwola Afolabi in company with William Usman, described the action of the DSS as “a Luciferic attack on a harmless, innocent and trustworthy citizen.”
Similarly, the director of media, OFM, Dr. Sule Emmanuel and coordinator, legal team, Samuel Amune flayed the government for attempting to arrest Apostle Johnson Suleiman.
He said: “Suleiman was forced to call on Christians to defend themselves against these killers since the spate of killings, rather than abate, had been on the rise. Interestingly, the call by the man of God now became the focus of the Nigerian government, despite the fact that it evidently had failed to protect her people. It is now determined to exploit the instruments of the state to go after the man of God."
Fayose said attempt by armed men of the Department of State Services (DSS) to arrest Apostle Johnson Suleiman of The Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide in Ado Ekiti would have caused serious trouble.
Speaking through his special assistant on public communications and new media Lere Olayinka, the chairman of the PDP Governor’s Forum, accused the federal government of indirectly supporting attack on Christians and other Muslim sects like the Shi’ites.
Address to Nigerians if you are alive NLC, TUC tells Buhari

Address to Nigerians if you are alive NLC, TUC tells Buhari

The Nigeria Labour Congress has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to come out and address the nation so as to dispel rumour about his death.
Since his trip to the UK, there has been rumour circulating about the president’s state of health and alleged demise although this has been refuted by his media aide.
In an interview with CNBC Africa, Femi Adesina who is the special adviser to the president on media and publicity said the claim about the president’s health was false and insisted he was on vacation in the UK.
The Punch however reports that Dr. Peter Ozo-Eson who is the general secretary of the NLC spoke on Thursday, January 26 urging the president to put the rumour of his death to rest by addressing the country.
He said: “In the social media, stories circulate without confirmation; I think that the easiest way is to talk publicly to the nation because the citizens are concerned about their leaders’ whereabouts.
‘If there are those who orchestrated rumours and they are not true, the easiest way is for him to reach out to Nigerians through a public appearance and a statement.
“Nigerians have a right to be certain about the health situation of their President and the people who orchestrate rumours and unsubstantiated reports, one would wish for him to call their bluff by publicly addressing the citizens.”
The Trade Union Congress (TUC) however said since Buhari has duly handed over to the vice-president, it was unnecessary to be talking about his state of health except he fails to return at the stipulated time.
Mr. Bala Kaigama who is the president of the TUC said there was no need to make noise about it as the president would come back.
“Why do we have to make noise about this? He is coming back; if he were to go and stay for a very long time, it is a different thing. If we have patience, he will come back. We are just being unnecessarily demanding.
“This is somebody who demanded a rest and he has handed over the government to the Vice-President. So our concern is how the VP is handling it; but it his health that has become the issue of the moment.
“But we should allow the old man to have his rest. It is normal for somebody of that age to need rest from time to time. If he goes to rest that does not mean that government will not work now. Let the old man enjoy his rest.
“If he does not come back on the day he is supposed to come, that is when can talk, but for now, let’s allow him to have his rest, why does he have to come and address us? It doesn’t make any sense.”
Ebenezer Oyetakin who is the executive secretary of the anti-corruption network said it was mischief to call on the president to address the nation.
“I do not subscribe to that. It smacks of mischief from such people. We are Africans. We have cultural discipline on some issues.
“He has done the appropriate thing by handing over to the VP as Acting President. Let us be patient and maintain a sense of decorum and respect to the institution of governance.”

Leave me out of Buhari’s ‘death rumour’, Bukola Saraki warns

Leave me out of Buhari’s ‘death rumour’, Bukola Saraki warns

The Senate President Bukola Saraki has decried the attempt by some section of the media to drag him into the death rumour of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Saraki advised those peddling such news not to involve him in the matter.
The Senate President through a statement signed by his spokesperson Yusuph Olaniyonu said he had first ignored the rumours after it first started.
He however said that calls from various parts of the country and abroad promoted the need to address the issue.
He said he was, “inundated with calls from across the country and abroad, it became necessary for me to make clarifications from our own end.”
The Senate President added that it is a good thing that the presidency had also addressed the rumour.
“However, I feel it should be known that those behind this baseless, empty and unintelligent mischief are those who do not love this country,” the statement said.
“Such suggestions as contained in the speculation can only bring ill-will, disunity and crisis to the country and I therefore advise the sponsors to desist immediately. More importantly, these trouble makers should refrain from linking Senator Saraki’s name to their evil plot,” it said.
The presidency through the political adviser to the president Babafemi Ojudu had said that the rumour of the president’s death is ridiculous.
"I have read many ridiculous stories saying the Vice President Prof Yemi Osinbajo is being held hostage by some governors who are trying to compel him to resign.
“I have equally received several calls regarding this. The story is simply not true. It is a fabrication. Don’t be a purveyor of fake news,” Ojudu said.
The media was agog with the death rumours of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The rumours also stated that the vice president Yemi Osinbajo was under pressure by some cabals to resign shortly after the president travelled to the United Kingdom for his 10 days’ vacation.
Keep your presidency, on Biafra we stand, Igbos tell Obasanjo

Keep your presidency, on Biafra we stand, Igbos tell Obasanjo

Reactions have continued to trail former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s support for an Igbo presidency in 2019.
Obasanjo, who recently urged the Igbos to contest for the presidency in 2019, said he was in support of the return to regional governance, as it will solve the problem of marginalization.
However, many Igbos have taken to social media to ask him to keep his presidency campaign.
According to many facebook users, Obasanjo’s ploy is to destabilize the struggle for the actualization of Biafra.
According to Chima Amadi: “Every reasonable Igbo man is focused on the actualisation of BIAFRA now. You are just trying to create division on the Biafra course. We know you Baba Maradona! Keep your Igbo Presidency campaign. On Biafra we Stand,” he said.
Collins Nwabeke on the other hand said: “This is another ploy to insult the Ibos' by baba. Tomorrow if the government doesn't favor him he will skim, plot, tear his clothe and membership card all just to put the same Ibo President away. What a shameless thought and game plan. Ibos' may buy the idea if one naija is a reality but it's not. One naija today because of election, after election hatred and killing upon killing continues.”
For Alexander Chikodi Kelvin, southeast is not interested in producing president of Nigeria. “We are not interested please. The one Yoruba and Hausa have been ruling, has anything good come out of it? How do you think south-east president will make Nigeria great? All we want is Biafra nothing else," he insisted.
Ejike Emmanuel on his part said that Obasanjo’s gesture is a way to outsmart the Ibos. “OBJ has come again with his political cunning. All he wants is for the Biafrans to stop their agitation and believe Igbo man is going to emerge as the next president but when the time comes, he will turn his back against them the way he did to Goodluck Jonathan. Obasanjo knows very well that what IPOB is agitating for will soon become a reality and it doesn't serve him and his counterparts’ right,” he claimed.
Recall that Obasanjo recently told the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ogun state chapter, who came to pay him a visit that: told the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ogun state chapter, who came to pay him a visit that: “Irrespective of the thinking of the people ahead of 2019, I personally think that South-East should have a go at the Presidency too."
