Nigerians kill those they should defend and defend those they should kill

Nigerians kill those they should defend and defend those they should kill

BY: John Zibiri
Such an up-side-down country
I worked and lived in Abuja for 18 years. I ran my own private company from 2001 until 2014. Two million of the likes of Buhari cannot change Nigeria. Everything is wrong with Nigeria. The Director won't give you contract except you pay up front . The banks won't give you loan except you concede a certain percentage. . The man supervising the contract won't pass the job except you play ball. The clerk won't pass your file for payment except you rob his palm. The accounts department won't raise your payment voucher or cheque unless you see them. I can go on and on. The worst thing is that it has become a norm that nobody sees anything wrong with. If you think otherwise, they begin to think you are sick and not normal. If you try to stand in there way, you put your life at risk. If you get killed there is no justice system in place to seek redress and bring the perpetrators to book. The police is corrupt , the Judiciary is the same. Even the religious circle is not spared. Everything in Nigeria revolves around corruption. Nobody cares about anybody. No law and order. I looked from my left to right, everybody is only desperate about one thing "money".

They will kill anybody and anything that stand between them and money. I am an electrical engineer with MNSE and COREN. The system don't care about my qualifications. Distribution and transmission jobs are given to alhajis, pastors, friends and relatives without any basic skills. I started asking myself, how do I convince my kids that education and hard work is rewarding? When fools, agberos and touts are running the country from the local govt to the Presidency. Is this what my four sons will also go through? In 2014 I decided I have had enough. I decided I was leaving. Ii migrated to Australia with my family. Don't put yourself in harm way for any reason. The problem of Nigeria is in the hands of Nigerians living in Nigeria. Try starting a gate house in your village, everybody wants to profiteer from it.

The bricklayer, the carpenter, the mason and even your brother who claim to be supervising on your behalf. They are corrupt, morally bankrupt and selfish. Everybody there thinks about himself and nobody is thinking about Nigeria . You don't have to be the one to go there to change anything. Let those under the hammer start the revolution. I beg make you hear word. This post is gonna anger a lot of my followers. I'm still gonna post it anyway. Analogy of OPPRESSORS & FOOLISH CITIZENS. (A case study of Nigeria citizens & their elected oppressors). During the Soviet dictatorship of Joseph Stalin. He was a brutal dictator with mind of his own. On one fateful day, Stalin came to Politburo meeting with a live chicken. Standing in front of audience, He started to pluck the feathers of the live chicken off one by one. The chicken trembled in pain, blood tricking out of its pores. It gave our grievous cries, but Stalin being a cruel dictator continued without remorse plucking the feathers out until the chicken was completely naked. After which, he threw the chicken on the ground. The naked chicken was staggering in pain. Stalin goes into his pocket and from his pockets, he took out some chicken food and started to throw it at the poor & hapless creature.

The poor chicken in pain started eating and Stalin started walking towards his seat. As he walked away, he kept dropping some feeds on the floor & the chicken followed him and sat feeding from his feet. Joseph Stalin then turned to members of his political party leadership. He said, "This chicken represents the people". "You must disempower them, brutalise them, beat them up, starve them and then leave them". "If you do this, go into your pocket & give them peanuts when they are in that helpless and desperate situation, they will blindly follow you for the rest of their life, worshiping you". "They will think you are a hero forever. They will forget that, you're responsible for their sorrowful situation in the first place." Breath taking, isn't it ? Now! Take a look at all the people some Nigerians are busy defending on social media. Take a look at those they call their heroes. They are the same people who plunged Nigeria into the situation she is. They are the same people who are responsible for their predicaments. Did you see the numbers of people that throng to Saraki's house during this Christmas period to go collect peanuts? Did you see the crowd that welcomed Ibori? Your guess is as good as mine. And the likes of many others, we all know about. Nigerians kill those they should defend and defend those they should kill!

Truth Revealed!! Biafra Was Never From Igbos, Igbo Started From Edo State, (READ SHOCKING REVELATION)

Truth Revealed!! Biafra Was Never From Igbos, Igbo Started From Edo State, (READ SHOCKING REVELATION)

Igboland started from Edo State, Igbanke (Igbo-Akiri) to be precise, all the way to Opobo Rivers State known as Igwenga, before the destructive and deceptive White British man came with his Bible and machine gun**
The whole of Anioma Delta State are Igbo speaking people. Not only that, they are descendants of the great Chime from Arochukwu hence they are known as Umu-Chime meaning children of Chime till this morning. Ask anybody from Delta State those called Umu-Chime and they will gladly point you to Igbo speaking communities in the same Delta State.

Asaba was originally Ahaba before the same destructive British White Man changed it.
Their cousins are Ahaba Imenyi Abia State till today. In some signs in Asaba you will see that the more sensible ones are changing the name back to Ahaba.
Ibibio which is Akwa Ibom State are so intertwined with Igbo that people have forgotten that the very successful Abiriba community of Abia State are actually people that reverse migrated from Akwa Ibom. Abiriba people are Ibibio by ancestry that is why they remain the only group that is matrilineal whilst the rest of Igbo people are patrilineal. Don't take my word for it, go to the beautiful Abiriba town to find out for yourself.

How about the great Annang people? Think about the revered Òkōnkō fraternity in Igboland, predominantly in Abia State today, where do you think it came from? Òkōnkō is purely an Annang traditional cult which proves that Annang people were not only part and parcel of Biafra from the beginning but also eternally intertwined with Igbo speaking people. Some of the poorly educated politicians from Akwa Ibom and Cross River don't know this because Hausa Fulani oil dependent parasites and their Yoruba lecherous slaves won't allow them to, through Punch, Nation, Vanguard, Tribune newspapers, Channels and AIT television stations.

Now how about Efik or let us call it Cross River State. Those of you from Arochukwu and parts of Bende, where do you think you got your Ekpe fraternity from? Yes, you are right. Ekpe is originally an Efik occult so is Ekpo or masquerade we have today. When you are dancing to the rhythm of your Ekpe cultural dance, be it during new yam festival or Christmas period, spare a thought for the Efik people that gave it to you.

If Igbo, Anioma Delta State, Ibibio/Annang of Akwa Ibom State and Efik are not the same Biafran people, how come they share deep cultural, linguistic and social heritage?
Please tell me what is the meaning of South South again or Niger Delta if I may ask? Too many questions I know but how else can I expose the Hausa Fulani divide and conquer, Yoruba backstabbing nature or the idiocy of those that call themselves Niger Delta and South South but refuse their real identity which is Biafra.
Truth cannot be hidden!

You are political prostitutes, MASSOB slams Kalu, Nnamani and Nwobodo

You are political prostitutes, MASSOB slams Kalu, Nnamani and Nwobodo

Top southeast politicians who defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) have come under fire from the Movement for Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB).
The pro-biafra secessionist group expressed its utmost displeasure at the development in a statement signed by the group’s national director for publicity Samuel Edeson.
MASSOB named former Senate president Ken Nnamani, former governor of Abia state Orji Uzor Kalu and ex-governor of old Anambra Jim Nwobodo in the statement as the centre of its attack.
The statement read: “They (Ndigbo) never benefited anything during his tenure as Senate President. These men are contract seekers that have no Igbo interest in mind.

“Time has come when we will no longer accept these kind of men in Igbo land. We are going to mobilize all the genuine pro-Biafra agitators and Igbo youths against these selfish greedy politicians.
“Who among these men that decamped to APC can beat his chest and boldly say that this is what I did for my people. Nobody will use Igbo land as battle field again like NPN/NPP in 1983.
“The Fulani herdsmen killed our people in Nimbo Uzo-Uwani, killed in Awgu; Umuahia, Delta and other places and they did not see reasons to speak against these killings of innocent people.
“They are political prostitutes. When we said last year that we are going to make this government ungovernable, they thought that we are going to fight them with arms, or going to the streets to protest. No, with our diplomatic moves, we have been able to achieve a lot.”
Former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo had said the Igbos should be given a chance at presidency in 2019 but Okorocha has said that this will only happen in 2023.

South East: We must speak with one voice now –Nnamani

South East: We must speak with one voice now –Nnamani

Former Senate President and All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart, Ken Nnamani has called for unity among South-East leaders and politicians, especially those who belong to his party.
He said the resort to abusive or gutter language by prominent politicians from the zone against one another would hurt the political interest of the zone, stressing that politics could be played without denigrating one another.
Nnamani, who spoke in a telephone chat said he joined APC to further offer service to the country and to help raise the political profile of the South-East. “Some of us did not join the APC  because of hunger, but in the interest of the Igbo. We should play politics of ideas and avoid abusive words.
“Ndigbo  do not have the ingredients for opposition politics. How the Yoruba people voted in 2015 should be an eye-opener. They voted for both sides, but the South-East put all their eggs in one basket,” he said.
Nnamani, who joined APC a fortnight ago, urged Nigerians to continue to support President Muhammadu Buhari’s effort at re-engineering the socio-economic well being of the country.
On the pronouncement by Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, that he is now the leader of APC in the South-East, the former Senate President noted that much as he has no problem with playing the role, he would prefer that who leads the party in the zone should naturally evolve.
Okorocha, at the South-East APC stakeholders meeting held in Owerri, said “there is a vacuum of leadership in the South-East APC.
“With Ken Nnamani, the question of who the leader of the APC is in the zone has been answered. Nnamani is the leader of APC in the South-East.
“Senator Nnamani should, then, work with other leaders like Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, Jim Nwobodo and a host of others to give Ndigbo a political direction. APC is the right party for the Igbo and the only party that can guarantee Igbo presidency in 2023.”
Nnamani stressed he would not shy away from taking up the mantle of leadership of the party in the zone, but said asking him to do such must have the blessing of leaders and members of the party in the South-East.
“I’m in the party to serve. Who leads the party in the zone has to evolve, it has to be agreed upon by leaders of the party in the zone,” he said.
He restated the need for South East leaders to speak with one voice on issues concerning the zone, insisting that engaging in needless diatribe and mudslinging were not what the zone needed at the moment.

Keep your presidency, on Biafra we stand, Igbos tell Obasanjo

Keep your presidency, on Biafra we stand, Igbos tell Obasanjo

Reactions have continued to trail former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s support for an Igbo presidency in 2019.
Obasanjo, who recently urged the Igbos to contest for the presidency in 2019, said he was in support of the return to regional governance, as it will solve the problem of marginalization.
However, many Igbos have taken to social media to ask him to keep his presidency campaign.
According to many facebook users, Obasanjo’s ploy is to destabilize the struggle for the actualization of Biafra.
According to Chima Amadi: “Every reasonable Igbo man is focused on the actualisation of BIAFRA now. You are just trying to create division on the Biafra course. We know you Baba Maradona! Keep your Igbo Presidency campaign. On Biafra we Stand,” he said.
Collins Nwabeke on the other hand said: “This is another ploy to insult the Ibos' by baba. Tomorrow if the government doesn't favor him he will skim, plot, tear his clothe and membership card all just to put the same Ibo President away. What a shameless thought and game plan. Ibos' may buy the idea if one naija is a reality but it's not. One naija today because of election, after election hatred and killing upon killing continues.”
For Alexander Chikodi Kelvin, southeast is not interested in producing president of Nigeria. “We are not interested please. The one Yoruba and Hausa have been ruling, has anything good come out of it? How do you think south-east president will make Nigeria great? All we want is Biafra nothing else," he insisted.
Ejike Emmanuel on his part said that Obasanjo’s gesture is a way to outsmart the Ibos. “OBJ has come again with his political cunning. All he wants is for the Biafrans to stop their agitation and believe Igbo man is going to emerge as the next president but when the time comes, he will turn his back against them the way he did to Goodluck Jonathan. Obasanjo knows very well that what IPOB is agitating for will soon become a reality and it doesn't serve him and his counterparts’ right,” he claimed.
Recall that Obasanjo recently told the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ogun state chapter, who came to pay him a visit that: told the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ogun state chapter, who came to pay him a visit that: “Irrespective of the thinking of the people ahead of 2019, I personally think that South-East should have a go at the Presidency too."

Trump’s biggest campaign promises are about to face a ‘Day One’ test

Trump’s biggest campaign promises are about to face a ‘Day One’ test

WASHINGTON (AP) — As a candidate, Donald Trump made a slew of “Day One” promises that any president would find daunting.
He declared that repealing and replacing his predecessor’s health care law would be “one of his first acts as president.” He released an 18-point plan for actions that would push forward sweeping ethics reforms and potentially undo scores of regulations. And he promised to fundamentally change the nation’s approach to immigration and begin work on an impenetrable wall along the southern border — all on his first day.
Some of Trump’s proposals would be easy: They require executive action or simply announcing his intention to do something.
Others, however, require congressional approval and would likely draw numerous legal challenges.
The list is long and ambitious — and there’s no indication from the White House that the president has any intention of taking them all up on Monday.
Nonetheless, here is a list of everything Trump promised to do on “Day One” of his administration:
IMMIGRATION:
—Stop all federal funding to “sanctuary cities” — places where local officials don’t arrest or detain immigrants living in the country illegally for federal authorities.
—Begin deporting what Trump estimates to be more than 2 million criminal illegal immigrants living in the country.
—Cancel visas for citizens of foreign countries that won’t take those criminal illegal immigrants back.
—Immediately terminate former President Barack Obama’s “two illegal executive amnesties.” That presumably includes DACA, which protects people who were brought into the country illegally as children.
—Begin working on an “impenetrable physical wall” along the southern border.
—Ask Congress to pass “Kate’s Law,” which would increase penalties on people who unlawfully re-enter the United States after being removed.
SECURITY AND DEFENSE:
—Immediately suspend the Syrian refugee program.
—Convene his generals and inform them that they have 30 days to submit a new plan for defeating the Islamic State group.
—Suspend immigration from “terror-prone regions” where he says vetting is too difficult.
—Implement new “extreme” immigration vetting techniques.
TRADE:
—Announce his intention to renegotiate or withdraw from the North American Free Trade Agreement with Canada and Mexico.
—Formally withdraw from the 12-nation Trans-Pacific Partnership.
—Direct his treasury secretary to label China a currency manipulator.
DRAINING THE SWAMP and GOVERNMENT REFORM:
—Propose a Constitutional amendment to impose term limits on all members of Congress.
—Ban White House and congressional officials from becoming lobbyists for five years after they leave the government.
—Ban former White House officials from lobbying on behalf of foreign governments for the rest of their lives.
—Ban foreign lobbyists from raising money for U.S. elections.
—Impose a hiring freeze on federal employees, excluding military, public safety and public health staff.
—Impose a requirement that for every new federal regulation imposed, two existing regulations be eliminated.
ENERGY AND THE ENVIRONMENT:
—Remove any Obama-era roadblocks to energy projects such as the Keystone XL pipeline.
—Lift restrictions on mining coal and drilling for oil and natural gas.
—Cancel payments to the U.N.’s climate change programs and use the money to fix America’s water and environmental infrastructure.
HEALTH CARE, GUN CONTROL AND OTHER ISSUES:
—Cancel “every unconstitutional executive action, memorandum and order issued by President Obama.”
—Ask Congress to send him a bill to repeal and replace Obama’s signature health care law.
—Begin the process of selecting a new Supreme Court justice.
—Get rid of gun-free zones in schools and on military bases.

Israel approves 2,500 new settlement homes in West Bank

Israel approves 2,500 new settlement homes in West Bank

Israel has approved 2,500 new settlement homes in the West Bank.
Defence minister Avigdor Lieberman said he and prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu had agreed on the approval “in response to housing needs”.
He said the majority of the housing units will be built in settlement blocs, areas where most settlers live and whichIsrael wants to keep under its control under any future peace deal with the Palestinians.
The election of US president Donald Trump has emboldened pro-settlement politicians, including Mr Lieberman and Mr Netanyahu.
Mr Trump has indicated that he will be more sympathetic to Israeli settlement construction than his predecessor Barack Obama.
Much of the international community views the settlements as illegal and an obstacle to peace with the Palestinians.

Biafra and the one-Nigeria project

Biafra and the one-Nigeria project

The emblazoned preamble of the Nigeria’s 1999 Constitution along with Section 2(1) which rhetorically provides “Nigeria is one indivisible and indissoluble sovereign state to be known by the name of the Federal Republic of Nigeria” is clearly symptomatic of oneness. In reflection to a maxim, ‘unity is strength’, the aforementioned section is apt, regrettably, events have continued to reduce the assertion to mere slogan or a deliberate sham. Based on the perception, President Muhammadu Buhari recently reechoed the indissolubleness of the nation in reaction to a sectional agitation for cessation.

Disappointedly, the nation has continued to be measured by multiple legal systems; Criminal and Penal Codes applicable in the south and north respectively, and the Sharia law. This blooper itself clearly underscored aggregate disunity, solecism and disaster. In addition, the incessant homicides perpetrated against the southern indigenes particularly Igbo on account of religious extremism are inconsistent with nationhood. A population with such orchestrated, egoistic and unrealistic legal systems bombastically running against each other had ab initio lost its fundamentals on nationality. In a recent time, some Muslim extremists brutally murdered a businesswoman, Mrs. Bridget Aghahime in front of her shop of several years in the north for alleged blasphemy. As reported, the five man-gang suspects arrested by the Police, in aberration were discharged by a Kano Magistrate on the directives of the state’s Attorney General upon Director of Public Prosecution (DPP)’s legal advice invoking Sec 211 which vests powers of nolle prosequie, but expected to meet certain prerequisites; on public interest, interest of justice and to prevent abuse of legal processes. Similarly, an evangelist, Eunice Elijah was few months ago mercilessly hacked to death in Kubwa during an early hour’s evangelism in sync with her belief and fundamental right to religion.

The litany of menfolk from the south resident in the north that were sent to early graves remains innumerable, in fact routinely witnessed as common incidents. If indeed the suspects were released for whatever reasons, succinctly, a misnomer, condemnable, a gross pervasion of justice and obviously indicative the one-Nigeria project is a myth. By releasing the culprits even when the mourners are emotionally down, a strong message is communicated assuring of intimidating backups to unleash more terrors to their innocent southern victims. These incongruities, absurdities and unruliness attest to the weakness of the project. Pro-Biafra activist and Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kalu who was arrested by the State Security Service, (DSS) in October 2015 over his activities alongside his Independent People of Biafra, IPOB initiative, over agitation for a sovereign state of Biafra, was earlier charged on conspiracy and terrorism. He was later granted bail by the Federal High Court, Abuja but rearrested on other charges. Consequently, Kalu has since then remained in the custody while applications and rejoinders by defense and prosecution counsels respectively have continued with the charades in the court. The perceived Kalu’s abandonment by the elites, I believe, was on account of his miscalculation by prematurely embarking on the project at a wrong time. IPOB was launched immediately after the misconstrued tribesman, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan lost out in an election massively contested and participated by all the ethnic nationalities. Had it been the mêlée kicked-off as a result of the Fulani herdsmen’s brutal invasions, massacres and other intimidations of the Igbo, certainly, his support base would have recorded stronger forces in the geopolitical zone. Or had it resulted from the arbitrary killings of southern Christians in the north, undoubtedly, his arrest would have met a total resistance or anarchy. Thus, timing is pivotal in all adventures. Democracy is largely moored on give and take. And certainly, a winner and loser must emerge. To keenly, unreservedly and liberally participate in the electoral process but refused to accept its outcomes on account of preference of a particular candidate as witnessed among Hillary Clinton’s supporters in the United States of America is weird, uncivilized and awkward.

To freely participate attests to willingness to accept its outcomes provided in a free and fair contest. Nevertheless, matters of this nature are better resolved politically with the leaders of the geopolitical zone. This would certainly address the issues amicably as one of the political tumults that usually occurs in any multi-ethnic society in a developing society, and above all, strategically used as opportunity to attentively thwart such agitations in the future. Imperatively, to untiringly file fresh cases could amount to further marginalization of the south-east geopolitical zone putting into consideration that similar actions had taken place in the past in other geopolitical zones that never encountered the rate of imbalances the zone is subjected. Fulani herdsmen had unleashed unprecedented, gigantic and excruciating mayhems that are offensive to entire humanity. Innocent citizens had been invaded while asleep at mid-nights right in their homes and brutally woke up in pains by punctures of machetes, daggers, axes and hits of bullets leading to untimely deaths in cold-blood and massive injuries. What crime is greater than such heartless, barbarous and spiteful bestiality? Yet, no arrests talk less of detention or prosecution. Similar incidents had also severally occurred in the north through Arewa Youths and others in the north. Despite the nature of criminality, political resolution was adopted and all charges against them withdrawn. Suffice to say the federal government owes a duty to equitably extend the olive branch to the south-east geopolitical zone by releasing and dropping all charges against Kalu and all the political detainees rather than re-filing criminal charges. Government, at the same time ought to unveil its plans towards redressing some of the injustices and imbalances in the polity that could justify such agitations in the future for enduring peace and stability. Undeniably, federal government’s presence is visibly, ineffably and unbearably absent in the southeast.

United Progressive Party (UPP) throws their weight behind IPOB

United Progressive Party (UPP) throws their weight behind IPOB

PRESS RELEASE: THE PORT HARCOURT MASSACRE: NIGERIA CANNOT CONTINUE THIS WAY

We woke up this day, Saturday 21st January, 2017, confronted with the heart- rending Newspaper publications reporting yet another cold-blooded massacre of unarmed and defenseless Igbo young men and women whose offence appears to be a non-violent rally they held at a location in Port Harcourt, Rivers State in solidarity with President Donald Trump of the United States of America whose inauguration took place the same day in Washington DC, USA.

The bold front page caption of Saturday Telegraph of 21st January, 2017, captured the sad event that took place in this manner –“Trump: 11 Feared Dead As Soldiers Shoot IPOB Members”. It is public knowledge that the organizers of the peaceful rally wrote the Police authorities to notify them about their legitimate intentions and to obtain their permission. It is not on record that the Police in turn replied to their letter denying them of their constitutional right of freedom of assembly. It has become rampart for Nigeria’s security agencies to shoot at sight, young men and women of Igbo ethnic nationality anytime and anywhere they assemble for a peaceful rally or demonstration or even to pray to the Almighty God.

As a responsible, credible and patriotic opposition political party, we owe it as a responsibility to the Nigerian public to point out any danger to the corporate existence of Nigeria wherever and whenever we perceive it. A situation where an internationally notorious terrorist organization called Boko Haram will unleash unprecedented mayhem on a section of Nigeria resulting in loss of several thousands of lives, unquantifiable damage to property and other assets as well as displacement of millions of Nigerian citizens will be extended hand of fellowship and promised protection and comfort if they surrendered, while innocent unarmed and non-violent Igbo persons will be massacred in cold-blood and others hounded to prison, sometimes without trial, in other circumstances with trumped up charges, is unacceptable in any civilized society where equity, justice and fair play ought to be cardinal principles of government as enshrined in the Nigerian constitution.

It is in consideration of the spate of injustice, alienation, inequity, inequality, nepotism and abuse of state power that the United Progressive Party has resolved to convene its national convention in April 2017 to ratify its amended Party Manifesto which incorporates provisions for restructuring of Nigeria, true federalism, devolution of power, fiscal federalism, State Police/Community Policing, referendum, self-determination of Nigeria’s ethnic nationalities, state pardon/release of prisoners and detainees whose offences were as a result of their political opinions and expressions. The new UPP manifesto shall be the social contract between our Political Party and the Nigerian people.

Nigeria’s Federating units must be allowed to develop at their own pace. They must be able to explore and exploit their corporative advantages for the benefit and welfare of their people.

We therefore, wish to state that the 2019 general election in Nigeria shall be a direct contest between those who accept restructuring as the panacea for the survival of Nigeria and those who choose to maintain the status quo.

On a final note, we urge the APC Federal Government under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari to take urgent steps to investigate all the unwarranted killings of Igbo men and women from the inception of his administration, prosecute all those found culpable and compensate the families and relations of the victims.

Security agencies must be ordered to stop shooting at unarmed, non-violent persons who are only exercising their inalienable right of freedom of association. This is the only way the palpable tension in the country today can be doused. We wish to advice that there is only a tiny line between violence and non-violence. It may just require a little extra provocation to cross the Rubicon. There is an old saying that states that a stitch in time saves nine.

Biafra: Trump and Congress to end U.S. support of this UN organization

Biafra: Trump and Congress to end U.S. support of this UN organization

By Terry Paulson

But there is an even better reason to encourage Trump and Congress to end U.S. support of this UN organization. The failure of the UN to stand for the independence of Biafra from Nigeria as strongly as they have for the Palestinians, who have much less right for their land, is proof enough that the UN should be defunded.
The country of Nigeria was created as a colony by Great Britain in 1914, merging different indigenous African peoples, among them the Biafrans, who are ethnically predominantly Igbo and religiously are mostly Christian. In 1960, Biafra seceded from Nigeria, and in 1967 declared its own state. The Nigerian government refused to accept the secession and launched a war and blockade on Biafra. That civil war resulted in the murder of more than two million Biafrans. Biafra, a state in what is today southeastern Nigeria, lost their war and their independent state.
A new generation of Biafrans has been peacefully advocating for an independent Biafra. Muhammadu Buhari, the Muslim president of Nigeria, has aggressively fought this independence movement. Since October 2015, Nigeria has detained Nnamdi Kanu, the leader for Biafran independence and director of Radio Biafra, despite meeting bail conditions. What’s worse is that the genocide of Biafrans continues every day.
In spite of the UN’s inaction, the restoration of the nation of Biafra has been supported by the respected human rights organization, Amnesty International, exposing the Buhari government and the rampant Nigerian extra-judicial killing and brute force to suppress peaceful and unarmed Biafrans who are exercising their rights to self-determination. Many members of European Parliaments (MEP’s) have also added their voices to the global outrage on Buhari and his murderous Fulani militias.
Where is the UN? While passing resolutions condemning Israel, they are doing nothing to stop Nigeria from its ongoing atrocities.
Trump’s support is raising hopes for a new direction. Femi Fani-Kayode, writing in the Sun, observed: “With Trump in the White House, guided, protected, led, fortified, and driven by the love, power, mercy and grace of the Living God that put him there, the world will be a better and safer place after his swearing in on January 20, 2017. … After that day, the oppressed people of the southern and Middle Belt zones of Nigeria will have a friend in the White House. And as time goes by, they will be given the opportunity to tell their story to the world, to break their chains of servitude, to shatter their yoke of slavery and to free themselves from the hideous mental prison of fear, tyranny and bondage that they have been subjected to over the last 56 years by their internal colonial masters. … Today, … I dare to proclaim, just like the great American freedom fighter Patrick Henry once dared to proclaim in his famous speech 291 years ago whilst calling for armed resistance against the British: ‘GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH!’”
May it be so. President-elect Trump has made his support of Israel clear. May he soon join other freedom-loving countries to take a stand against Muslim genocide and the call for self-determination for Biafra. If the UN, which consistently preaches the gospel of human rights and self-determination, ceases to be a fair arbitrator in dealing with the national aspirations for Biafra, let us end our support and create a United Freedom Alliance limited to democratic-loving countries committed to the rule of law, free enterprise, and liberty.

Igbo Land is rich with huge mineral resources

Igbo Land is rich with huge mineral resources

OIL AND GAS IN BIAFRA-LAND: For those ignorant of this fact.

IMO STATE - There are over 163 oil wells at over 12 different locations in the State. The main petroleum companies operating in the state are Addax Petroleum, Chevron Corporation, Royal Dutch Shell and Agip. Some of the established oil-rich and producing Local Government Councils include Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta, Oru East, Iho, Oru West, Obowo and Ngor Okpala.

ABIA STATE - There are over 100 oil wells and 3 installed flow stations in Abia State. There is also an associated gas plant, Abia/NNPC gas plant. As of 2012, boundary Commission said it returned 42 oil wells from neighbouring Rivers State to Abia. This would have meant Abia being fourth largest oil producing state in the county. Oil giant, Shell, holds most of the licenses for the wells in the State and has concentrated on the estimated 50 wells that are considered high-yield. The State produced 36,000 barrels of crude oil per day; "Imoturu produces 23,000 barrels per day and Isimili flow station produces over 8,000 barrels of crude oil per day. Then four oil wells in Izaku go to Obigo flow station. About 30 oil wells from my village go to Umuri and about eight oil wells from Umurie go to Afam", lamented Samuel Okezie Nwogu, Chairman of Abia State Oil Producing Development Area Commission (ASOPADEC).

ANAMBRA STATE - In the year 2006, foundation laying ceremony for the first Nigerian private refinery Orient Petroleum Refinery (OPR) was made at Aguleri area. The Orient Petroleum Resource Ltd, (OPRL) owners of OPR, was licensed in June 2002, by the Federal Government to construct a private refinery with a capacity of 55,000 barrels per day (~7,500 t/d). In 2012, following the efforts of Governor Peter Obi and other stakeholders of Orient Petroleum, Anambra State became an oil producing state. The indigenous company recorded breakthrough in its oil prospecting in the Anambra River basin. On August 2, 2015, the management of Orient Petroleum Resources Plc said the company planned to increase its crude oil production to 3,000 barrels per day by September, 2015, as it stepped up production activities in two new oil wells in its Aguleri oil fields. An indigenous company, Nails and Stanley Ltd was to establish a gas plant at Umueje in Ayamelum Local Government Area to support economic activities in Oil and Gas industry in the State.

EBOYIN STATE - Ebonyi is primarily an agricultural region. It is a leading producer of rice, yam, potatoes, maize, beans, and cassava in Biafra-land. Rice and yams are predominantly cultivated in Edda, a region within the state. Ebonyi has several solid mineral resources, including lead, crude oil, and natural gas, but few large-scale commercial mining/mines. The state government has, however, given several incentives to investors in the agro-allied sector to encourage production. Ebonyi is called "the salt of the nation" for its huge salt deposit at the Okposi and Uburu Salt Lakes.

ENUGU STATE - Has plenty of coal which can be tapped to supply 247 electricity for Biafra. In fact, Enugu coal can supply 247 electricity to over 15 countries in West Africa. Apart from huge coal deposits in Enugu which controls a premium in international market, Enugu has abundant oil deposits at Uzo uwani local government area which has common boundary with Ayamelum local government. There is also abundant natural gas at ugwuoba in Oji River local government area.

Secret trial of Nnamdi Kanu begins

Secret trial of Nnamdi Kanu begins

The secret trial of   the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu and three others has begun at the Federal High Court, Abuja. Kanu, Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi, who are on trial for treasonable felony and terrorism were shielded from the public in the courtroom.

Justice Binta Nyako had on Dec. 13, 2016, ruled that the identity of witnesses in the matter would be protected but at Tuesday’s sitting, the judge and parties were all shielded from public view.

There was also a heavy presence of security personnel within and around the court premises. This made it difficult for people, including journalists and relatives of the defendants to enter the court. The defence team, however, insisted that each of the defendants was entitled to have four relatives in court during proceedings. This led to a short adjournment to enable security operatives allow the defendants’ relatives into the courtroom. On resumption of proceedings, the defence counsel informed the court of its pending applications seeking to quash the charges against the four defendants.

Counsel to Kanu, Mr Ifeanyi Ejiofor, also informed the court of another application challenging the competence of the charge against the defendants. Ejiofor told the court that the proof of evidence did not support the charges against his client to warrant his continual detention. “The charge does not warrant his detention because there is no case against him,” he said. Ejiofor also told the court that the Department of State Services (DSS) were frustrating the efforts of counsel in gaining access to the defendants. He also alleged that relatives of the defendants were being continuously harassed and arrested each time they visited them in prison. “They (DSS) are clamping down on the innocent citizens. If anything should happen to me or my family, the DSS should be held responsible,” Ejiofor said.

Nyako cautioned operatives of the DSS against sensationalising the case, saying that there was nothing special about the four defendants. According to her, this is a simple criminal case so I do not understand all the “gra-gra” around it which I see from my CCT camera. She also said that the defendants should be unhand-cuffed as soon as they arrived the court premises as the defence team had complained that they were brought into court in handcuffs. “State operatives should threat the case like any other case. You cannot break the constitution and still expect to be guided by the constitution,” Nyako said. She asked the defence team to file a formal complaint of all the allegations they made and serve the court.

The judge also asked them to quickly serve the court copies of their applications to allow expeditious hearing. She said that ruling on the applications would determine whether the case would be terminated or continued. Nyako adjourned the matter till Jan. 12 to hear the application challenging the competence of the charge as well as that seeking to quash the case.

2,000 Igbo youths have been killed by Nigerian army - NGO

2,000 Igbo youths have been killed by Nigerian army - NGO

A non-governmental organization, Campaign for Democracy (CD), has claimed that no fewer than 2,000 Igbo youths had been killed by the Nigerian army under the guise of rule-of-engagement.
2,000 Igbo youths have been killed by Nigerian army - NGO

The group, therefore, called on the United Nations (UN), International Criminal Court (ICC), the United States, other world bodies and their leaders to take note of such ‘man’s inhumanity to man’ being meted to defenseless Nigerians, especially the Pro-Biafrans
In a statement issued Wednesday, January 4, in Onitsha, Anambra state, by CD’s national publicity secretary, Dede Uzor, he noted that the massacre of over 800 Christians in Southern Kaduna required a thorough investigation to unmask the brain behind such cruel act.
Uzor called on the national assembly to include members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) and Igbo youths as members of the panel that would probe the recent killings in Southern Kaduna.
The NGO group opined that if the national assembly resumed from both the Christmas and New Year break, it would be ideal to include all pro-Biafra groups and Igbo youths in the panel, to avoid being lopsided.
Uzor added that the vow by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki to set up a high-powered investigative team to ascertain the circumstances surrounding such a high volume of killing of Christians was a step in the right direction.
The statement further noted ‎that since the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of IPOB, Chidiebere Onwudiwe, IPOB’s national coordinator; Benjamin Onwuka, leader of Biafra Zionists Movement (BZM) whose over 100 members are currently languishing in various prison custodies, and other Igbo activists, no fewer than 2,000 Igbo youths had been killed by the Nigerian army, under the so-called Rule-of-Engagement.

Uzor said: “It is on record that two years of President Muhammadu Buhari’s leadership has witnessed the highest number of killings of innocent Nigerians than the previous 17 years of uninterrupted democracy and past military administrations put together.”
Meanwhile, the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) has raised allegation that President Muhammadu Buhari has a secret detention centre managed by the Department of State Services (DSS).
In a statement, signed by Emma Powerful who is the spokesperson of IPOB, he said the detention centre was being used to coach foreign witnesses who will testify against Nnamdi Kanu, the director of Radio Biafra when he appears in court.

Biafra separatist group calls for independence referendum

Biafra separatist group calls for independence referendum

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) group has advised Biafran separatists both at home and in diaspora to be prepared for a referendum to decide whether to be an independent sovereign country apart from Nigeria.
The group stated that ethnic Igbos have a right under international law to decide their fate through a referendum, the same way Britain exercised its right to leave the European Union without the permission of the European Parliament or European Council.
A statement by media and publicity secretary secretary Mr. Emma Powerful noted that Scotland had also exercised its right to self-determination and so had the French-speacking Quebec region in Canada.
Powerful said that the United Nations will have the mandate to monitor the referendum process and ensure compliance with the will of the people so expressed.
“The IPOB leadership wants to use this opportunity to let Biafrans and the entire world know that we want to go and we are calling on civilized nations of the world and the rest of humanity. We invite the international community, men and women of goodwill to come and monitor this peaceful referendum in Biafraland… We Biafrans in pursuit of our inalienable, irreducible and God-given right to restore our stolen sovereignty do, hereby state, that we do not require the permission of the Nigerian state or her government officials to grant us our natural freedoms,” the separatist spokesman declared.

‘Stay strong, January is fast approaching’, Trump tells Israel

‘Stay strong, January is fast approaching’, Trump tells Israel

Incoming U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday, asked Israel to stay strong, saying his inauguration on Jan. 20, 2017, is fast approaching and things will change.
Trump’s remark was not unconnected with the continued controversies over recent UN resolution condemning Israeli settlements in Palestinian territories.
“We cannot continue to let Israel be treated with such total disdain and disrespect.
“They used to have a great friend in the U.S., but not anymore.
“The beginning of the end was the horrible Iran deal, and now this (U.N.)!
“Stay strong Israel, January 20th is fast approaching!” the president-elect said.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has had a tense relationship with Obama, particularly over the abstention, responded to Trump on Twitter, thanking the incoming U.S. president.
“President-elect Trump, thank you for your warm friendship and your clear-cut support for Israel!” Netanyahu responded to Trump.
Earlier, the incoming president had also given an impression that the transition process between him and Obama’s administration was not going smoothly.
According to him, there have also been “many inflammatory statements” and “roadblocks” from Obama.
“Doing my best to disregard the many inflammatory President O statements and roadblocks.
“Thought it was going to be a smooth transition – NOT!” Trump had tweeted.
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry had in his remarks on Wednesday, defended U.S. abstention rather than veto the UN Security Council resolution on the Israeli settlements in Palestinian.
Kerry also warned Israel that the two-state solution to the crisis rocking the Middle East was in jeopardy.
Trump had on Monday, criticised the UN after the resolution, describing the global body as a mere talk club.
“The United Nations has such great potential but right now it is just a club for people to get together, talk and have a good time.
“So sad,” Trump said.
The presiden-elect had earlier asked the U.S. to veto the resolution.
“The resolution being considered at the United Nations Security Council regarding Israel should be vetoed.
“As the United States has long maintained, peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians will only come through direct negotiations between the parties, and not through the imposition of terms by the United Nations.
“This puts Israel in a very poor negotiating position and is extremely unfair to all Israelis.”
However, the resolution was put forward on Friday by Malaysia, New Zealand, Senegal and Venezuela after Egypt, who earlier sponsored it asked for its suspension.
The Obama administration disregarded Trump’s directive and went ahead to abstain from voting on the resolution when it finally came up on Friday, drawing criticisms from the president-elect and his team.
The 15-member Council adopted the resolution by a vote of 14 in favour, while the U.S abstained.
Trump had, thereafter, threatened that “things will change” at the global international organisation when he assumesthe U.S. presidency from Jan. 20, 2017.
The White House had, in a response by Obama’s Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategic Communications, Mr Ben Rhodes, cautioned Trump’s and his team, saying Obama remains president till Jan. 20, 2017.
“On the President-elect, the first thing I’d just say is that there’s one President at a time.
“President Obama is the President of the United States until January 20th, and we are taking this action (abstention), of course, as U.S. policy,” he said.

I’ll cage recession next year – Buhar

I’ll cage recession next year – Buhar

As the economic recession bites harder, a worried President Muhammadu Buhari has told Nigerians that he will cage the scourge of the economic blight in 2017.
2016_12_22_81722
Buhari expressed this optimistic position yesterday, in Abuja, when he declared open an induction course organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Nigerian career ambassadors-designate who were recently given clean bill of health by the Senate.
According to Buhari, “We are optimistic that the external factors that partly contributed to push our economy into recession will ebb in 2017. Until then, I regret that the resources available to fund our missions abroad will not be as robust as we would like.
“We are working hard to turn around our national economy by effectively reforming our macroeconomic environment through measures, some of which were outlined in my budget speech to the National Assembly last week.”
In further elaboration, Buhari stated the subsisting economic circumstances have led to a restructuring of Nigerian missions abroad. He reminded the ambassadors-designate that , “as we are all making great sacrifices at home, we also expect you to similarly make judicious use of the resources put at the disposal of your missions. As Heads of missions, you will be held accountable for the utilisation of all resources under your control. These are lean times, and all of us are expected to do more with less.”
He charged the ambassadors-designate to change the narrative of Nigeria outside the country by playing up the positive values and outstanding contributions of Nigerians in the global arena.
His words: “I want to emphasise your duty to change the narrative of Nigeria as seen by the outside world. For far too long, we have allowed Nigeria to be defined by others, always emphasizing our negatives. To the average foreigner, Nigeria evokes 419, terrorism, militancy, communal and religious clashes, insecurity, corruption and all our other faults.
“You have the duty to correct this narrative by taking the initiative to define and portray our country for what it truly is. We are a nation of 180 million vibrant, enterprising, hardworking, hospitable and peaceful people. We are a remarkable nation that has succeeded in harnessing our multiple diversities as strengths such that we are the leading country on the continent. Therefore, you will need to mobilise, sensitise and motivate all your staff so that together you engage with your host governments, the private sector and other segments of the society to explain that Nigeria is much more than the negative image portrayed to them.”
He further tasked them to leverage on the achievements of Nigerians within the country and in diaspora: “Think of people like Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka, Chinedu Echeruo who founded Hotspot application which he sold to Apple for over a billion Dollars; think of Bayo Ogunlesi, who runs over a billion Dollar Infrastructure Fund and is now Adviser to US President-elect; and Jelani Aliyu, an accomplished car designer at General Motors. Indeed, these and other hardworking Nigerian professionals in the diaspora have never forgotten their roots and have been making significant contributions to their communities back home, and even to our economy through their huge remittances.”
According to him, they should sustain the work ethic characterized by the love of country, professionalism, excellence, integrity and honour associated with the “Nigerian diplomatic tradition established in 1957 by the pioneers of the Nigerian Foreign Service, sometimes referred to as the “Twelve Apostles” and also “bequeath same to succeeding generations.”
The president further charged the ambassadors-designate to stress Nigeria’s commitment to international peace and security through contributions “to nearly every UN peacekeeping initiative since 1960 when we achieved our independence. In addition, we are the stabilizers and shock absorbers of West Africa having helped to contain potentially de-stabilizing developments in the sub-region.”
He tasked them to always be mindful of the national priorities that “revolve around the economy, security, anti-corruption, good governance, agricultural transformation and infrastructural development, including rail, roads and power” and use their roles “as Principal Representatives to build meaningful partnerships to attract foreign investments, new skills and technologies.”
Further according to him, “As Nigerian ambassadors, you must set the standard of putting Nigeria first in all your actions. You must show leadership, fairness and justice to all. Discipline, probity, accountability and zero tolerance for corruption must be your watchwords. You are expected to project the best image and traditions of our country in your conduct and all you do.”
